I am a patriotic Indian. Why the hell cant this Khan guy go through the same ordeal as an ordinary Indian or any other passenger. Why all the fuss? Is he god??? Hell NO...I would just tell him to shut up and carry on with life. He is an idiot and just doing this for more publicity. How many Indian muslims go through this shit everyday? Why cant he tolerate this 2 hr ordeal like an ordinary Indian muslim or for that matter hindu? Racial profiling is for everyone who is colored and non-US citizen. He is not a good guy as he cant even take a 2 hr ordeal as an ordinary citizen because he thinks he is GOD...when in fact he is as ordinary as anybody. Just because he has money, name and fame should be become god? no way. I dont mind if the Indian airport security frisked Tom Cruise or any other actor. Who cares!! Its our countrys security, but you know what India wont do that as all the airport officials incl. security are so corrupt and also if they see white skin they will just allow them freely thinking they are god!! thats our stupidity not the americans???

If we do file a lawsuit against the discriminatory country-quota laws in EB immigration, in worst case scenario, even if we loose it might help highlight the issue and send a message to Washington that we are serious and we mean business. And the judgement might help us at-least get the recapture visas back if the court is made aware of our plight.
IV has spent so much money on Patton Boggs etc. . Maybe its time we think about this option as well. Maybe this method might work as clearly other approaches have failed and we haven't gotten anything. And before the IV loyalists jump on me and ask me to contribute first, yes if there is a lawsuit by IV, I will happily contribute my half-month's salary to the cause.

If USCIS follows Vertical Policy after EB-3 becomes current, all the remaining visas will go to EB-2 India/China and will be used up completely. With the volume of demand for EB-3 India, unless some legislative relief comes EB-3 India's problem will not be solved.
However, by following horizontal policy, if EB-2 India/China is cleared and made current, Any spillover in EB-3 should be equally shared and EB-3 India's share will improve but in miniscule way.
Fighting for legislative relief is the only way out for EB-3 instead of dividing our community between EB-2 and EB-3

Once again, what is with this "Flood" and "too many". Petitions are postal packages. They are not Tsunami waves that would prompt them to shut down their doors to prevent flooding. They did get nearly 200,000 petitions in Vermont in one day. What happened ? Did the mail room clerk drown in fedex ? Were the packages overflowing in the parking lot ?
Guys please stop thinking these logistics, and get a life. USCIS has people who are capable of predicting several hundred mail packages and handling them. They are inefficient and slow but they are not galactically stupid. And if they stop accepting petitions, it wont be because they have received "Too many" because it takes time to define "too many". So chill and try to file it before 31st July.
These rumors are wreaking havoc on people who are not in a perfect position to control the timing of filing. Many lawyers and many employers will file between 25th and 31st July. And I can accept that. My own HR and lawfirm have made it clear that we will file before 31st July but there is no guarantee that it will be sooner than that and any sooner than that is not neccesary.
Those who are filing on their own can file on July 1st. But those who are depending on lawyers and their own HR, please relax and stop thinking too much.

So what kind of visionary are you looking for.If we make the current govt's performance as a basis then is it someone like this:
One who questions existence of Rama , makes a success of Sethu samudram project pulling down Ram Sethu thus hitting the sentiments of the Hindus in the Hindu dominated land.
One who arrests Sankaracharya (both semior/junior acharyas)based on suspected conspiracy angle on Deepavali eve and holds him in Jail for 60 days , bringing interruption to the Chandramauleswar puja that has been consistently conducted in the Mutt for 2,500 years (it's another thing nothing was proved for almost 5 years now)
One who abuses Sadhvi Pragnya Thakur with evil intent to bring up something called Hindu terrorism,conduct 4 (not 1/2) narco tests apart from other unmentionable things.
One who overlooks the murder of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati.
one who set's up conversion camps in Tirumala.
All of them state sponsored.
(On a side note:If Hindus' protest against these acts call them communal, it they don't call them spineless.
It's like Hindus in Hindu dominated land are damned if they do ,damned if they don't)

Don't know at what gun point Sonia Gandhi is holding him but this guy actually wants to retire after having had so many major surgeries all his , one more recently.
Buzz is also that if UPA wins Manmhona singh will be made PM and after some time will be replaced with Rahul Gandhi.So it's all hog wash.
I am not sure what vision Mr.Advani has for India. May be at this age he might have better vision than other people in the same league.

Have several question:
1. How many non-Indian in USA that watch bollywood movie? So, what makes him a high profile in the eyes of Immigration officer (IO)? Do we need to educate all IO to recoqnize all the actors in India, Pakistan, China, Japan, Korea and all others?
I personally never heard of this SRK guy before reading this thread. So how would you guys expect the immigration officer, who's mostlikely non-Indian, would know this guy? I agree with Pappu that says "He is a famous actor to a very very small minority Indian Community in USA".
2. Looking at how he make big deal of this in media. He probably cause this delay by himself. I can imagine the conversation at the immigration office as (copying all the answer from Ryan's earlier comment on what he's asked for when he came here):

Unfortunatly, they officer was an ignorant pig without any knowledge about immigration. Luckily, I was sent to an office where officers were nice and well trained,

In the case of India, recent estimates of INDIAN (BLACK) MONEY outside India (in Countries like SWITZERLAND, )reached Rs.7.5 Million Crores (About US$1,500 Billion). Laying hands on this (Black) money is not in the power of the Indian Government.
Black Money circulating inside India appears to be no lesser in quantity than the outside component mentioned above.
Black money and corruption that can spread into the hitherto respected institutions like Judiciary, the Army, and the Bureaucracy in India may, one day, by moral degradation lead to a failed state. Black Money lends free access to the Criminal, Antinational, and Antisocial elements going beyond the control of the laws in place.
To-day’s civilized world has accepted the phenomenon of hiding money in Swiss Banks as “NOT ILLEGAL” obviously because the CREAM OF SOCIETY in the world owns that money. ……..
Government of India is not able to help honest, sincere tax payers particularly middle class families in the matter of providing quality Education, Healthcare for their families at reasonable cost. Education and Medical have become Biggest Money spinning businesses in India now. One has to shell out Rs. 30 to 50 Lakhs for a MBBS seat and about Rs. 5 to Rs.10 Lakhs for an Engineering seat in good colleges. How can middle class people can pay this money?. They are deprived of good education though, they pay taxes honestly and sincerely to government. It is really unfortunate. For people who have block money, these things do not matter

Some examples are: Police, Municipal officials, Electricity depat.officials, weights& measures inspector, Rowdies & Goondas, Political contributions, Subscriptions/Donations to RELIGIOUS GURUS ETC.
ALL MOST ALL THE CORRUPT OFFICIALS ARE CALLLED "PARTNERS IN BUSINESS WITHOUT CAPITAL AND COMMITMENT BUT FORCEBLY TAKE A PART OF PROFITS OF BUSINESS".

If you have to run a big company, you have to bribe many more officials. For some type of officials, WHO DO NOT TAKE CASH AS BRIBE, "GIFTS" ARE BEING GIVEN (GOLD, DRY FRUITS, VEHICLE DROPS, GUEST HOUSES ETC.) ON VARIOUS OCCATIONS, FESTIVALS ETC. ANY THING CAN BE DONE EVEN IN TIRUMALA TEMPLE, EDUCAIONAL INSTITUTIONS, MEDICAL PROFESSION WHICH ARE CONSIDERED TO BE HOLY PROFESSIONS.
THE AMOUNT TO BE GIVEN AS "BRIBE" IN BURIAL YARD(S) IN INDIA, WHEN A PERSON DIE, FOR BURNING THE BODY, FOR GETTING DEATH CERTIFICATE, (THESE ARE IN ADDITION TO OFFICIAL FEES PAID TO MUNICIPALIIES FOR BURNING THE BODY FOR FIRE WOOD ETC.). The amount to be spend after death in India now comes to Lakhs of Rupees for doing all types of cermonies, merging ashes in Ganga at Varanasi and other holy places, giving gifts/charities to pandits, giving advertisements in newspapers, arranging feasts BHOJANALU to thousands of people (so called relatives), friends. This is in addition to LARGE SUMS OF MONEY PAID TO DOCTORS FOR SO CALLED CURING OF SICKNESS.
In many cases, many middle class people becomes BEGGERS/PAUPERS after getting into hospitals, nursing homes etc. just before dyeing.

I don't think USCIS has any idea as to how much "enough" visa they have....They function randomly...so plz dont draw any conclusions from who is getting a GC now. It could be the last person filed with latest PD while everyone else waits for their GC!
Just wait and watch. Sept dates will throw some light as to how much of the available visas have they used. (if all, PD will be U, If most/majority: PD will stay same, if less than half: PD will move forward--may be C:p)

Hello this question is for Lawyer, i will like to find out how can somebody find out if the I 140 is been revoked by the old employer.
Please help me out i will like to find out the way to find out as my employer told me he will revoke my I 140 but have not got any information from USCIS aslo the the online status shows case approved in sep 2006.
Please let me know if it is revoke would Uscis send a letter or the online system would say any changes online.
